It has been a ridiculously long day. I have pictures, but I really don’t have the energy to upload them. Basically, I started the day with a nice long workout…four mile run and upper body:
3 sets of 15 reps chest press with 15 lbs
3 sets of 15 reps preacher curl with 10 lbs
3 sets of 15 skull crushers with 15 lbs
3 sets of 15 military press with 5 lbs
3 sets of 15 bent over row with 15 lbs
3 sets of 15 lower back extension
3 sets of 25 crunches on ball
Then I got ready for my doctor’s appointment. It was in Tampa, which is a good 1.5 hour drive, but I was able to meet up with a friend and her daughter for dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, Evo’s! They don’t fry anything and they have vegan things marked on their menu. It was really delicious. I had a Veggie burger with all the fixings and mesquite ketchup (that they make by the way).
I went by Whole Foods before heading home and got some staples: whole wheat pastry flour, Earth Balance sticks, Tom’s toothpaste, bananas, and two cans of Amy’s Alphabet Soup (which I can’t find anywhere else, what is going on with that).
I was able to make the chocolate chip cookies tonight. I decided to go with Dreena’s recipe and made two batches. I wanted to see how they turned out if I used the whole wheat pastry flour. They actually worked really well, or it could just be because they were warm gooey cookies fresh out of the oven :). I’ll let you know if I have a better idea tomorrow. I’ll post pictures as soon as I can, but I will be lucky if I can even post the next few days. So brace yourself and don’t abandon me if I am MIA for a few days :).
