Bienvenidos

Hi there. So first blog posts are pretty awkward, but it has to be done nonetheless. Briefly, I am a vegan that has recently revamped my diet to work against genetics and bring my cholesterol down. I am also soon to be moving to Europe for several years. While it is definitely stressful, I decided that a blog would be the best way to keep everyone abreast of our life. I am happily married to a loving and wonderful person to be know in the blog as J. We have two dogs that are very different but I love very much. I love to run and excercise. I have my master’s degree and hope to be picking up writing articles and potentially a book soon. Perhaps Europe will enlighten my writing ability. My passions lie in writing, reading and teaching. I am also at a point in my life where I am working through resolving my social/political ideals with my religious spiritual ones. My posts will revolve around anything and everything. I welcome opinions but will not tolerate bashing. When I post about food I will try and include recipes but I can’t make any promises about anything.

So now, we are introduced. Enjoy the posts and I will do my bests to keep them consistant.

Let's see. I am a certified personal trainer (CPT), group exercise instructor, nutritional counselor, and wellness counselor. My training background focuses mainly on getting overweight populations into shape, but I have worked with people wanting to gain strength/healthy weight and agility. I worked with the Army and the Marines for several years before settling into a civilian lifestyle. I'm still adjusting and I really miss it. I also enjoy coaching non-runners through their first running event. I post my workouts on here but remember that you need to seek medical advice prior to starting a new exercise regimine. I also love food. I've been vegetarian for 10 years and 4 of the last years I have been completely vegan. I love food and I love to cook. I follow a strict diet that I do not recommend for everyone, but I really enjoy as it keeps me healthy and helps me to know what is going into my body.
